![]() ![]() I started with the little 2 pack starter kit and used this with my power strip to turn it on at night and off in the morning when I am not here. I would need 48 place holders or better a ‘have the outlet on for X minutes every hour’ or something like that. Sometimes I don’t remember and that is not good. In the KASA app schedule there are not enough places to do this so during the day I need to modify the schedule. Sometimes I need an outlet to be on for part of an hour every hour. Something I would like the app to do that it does not. I have several on lights and can have them turn on and off randomly to make it look like someone is home. From anywhere I can turn that outlet on and then view my security cameras. It is normally off so the recorder is not connected to the internet. I power the switch with a TP Link outlet. I have an Ethernet cable from the recorder to an Ethernet switch and one from the switch to the router. I usually don’t want it connected unless I’m away and want to check things. I have a recording security camera system that can connect to the internet. I use an outlet here and have it on every other hour in humid weather and an hour every two hours when less humid. I have a dehumidifier and don’t want it running all the time. I use an outlet here with a schedule to shut off and turn on every Monday and Thursday. My router needs to be power cycled every few days. I have 8 TP Link smart outlets and use the KASA app. Or this can be attached to a red light so when we come into the office we can see the network went down over the weekend check out everything to make sure all systems operational. The switch can detect the failed network and turn it back on again. This way if someone accidentally shuts off the router or modem. I.e if the network goes down turn this switch on and when the network comes up leave it on or have a feature to turn it off. Of course we need to make note of the time it is and make sure the turn on schedule is scheduled first so we don’t accidentally lock ourselves out of the switch.Īnother nice feature would be to have a failsafe toggle. As it stands now we gotta go in and schedule a turn off and schedule a turn on one minute later. It would be nice if we could open the switch and have a reboot button that would tell the switch to turn off for five seconds and turn on again. We can’t “turn off” this device cause then we won’t be able to “turn on” after since the network would be down. Sometimes when our on-site Internet gets rather flaky we need to reboot the modem. ![]() We can turn on and off pumps as needed without needing to go to the site.įunctionality is simple but it works! Only think missing is a “reboot” function. We use this app to control our devices remotely. Subscriptions and auto-renewal may be managed by going to Account Settings after purchase.
